Project Overview: The client, Total Wine & More, wanted to expand on their popular brand, Witching Hour, with anew brand, Stories & Spells. The goal was to create a newwine brand that maintained some of Witching Hour’scharacteristics, but had its own branding persona.

Brand Strategy
In order to stay in the witchy realm of Witching Hour we decided to lean on other mystical themes. Ultimately landing on tarot-card inspired designs. The use of gold on intricate designs allowed the brand to feel more premium. During the design process we worked with the printer for embellishments that gave the label additional texture on the gold.
One of my favorite parts of this project was photographing it once it was completed. Because of the theme I knew I wanted it to feel like it was set in on a Wiccan altar. This meant a field trip to an oddities store where I found some vintage photos and candle holders. A trip to a used book store led me to a truly magical find, a book named Witching Hour!
